Bella is a 6 yr old spayed female lab/shepherd mix. She up-to-date on her vaccinations and weighs approximately 75 lbs. She is good with kids and cats, and is generally good with other dogs but likes to be bossy and "dominant" with certain dogs. She is house-trained.
BELLA Lab/shepherd X, spayed female, around 6 yrs.
Brown & tan, 75 lbs, all vacs current; wormed, micro-chipped
Bella is a friendly girl and loves to go for walks and swim (walked almost every day). She has lots of energy and when she gets excited, she jumps, prances and runs about. She needs a strong pack leader as she is a dominant female.
Current owner has worked with a dog trainer who notes that she is a good girl who hasn’t been made to mind. Bella is smart and responded well to training. Progress has been good. She knows her sits, stay, load up and wait.
People: Friendly to everyone, including children
Cats: OK, but will follow if they walk away or run.
Dogs: Friendly, plays very rough; can exhibit dominant behavior towards certain dogs.
Fence: Needs a 5.5 to 6 foot fence. When she got out, she stayed around the property
Housebroken: yes, but has had accidents if left in for longer than 6-8 hours.
History:
Oct of 2009: Stray, no one claimed her at the Shelter.
Nov. 2009 Rescued: owner lived on ranch. Was 1 of 3 dogs, young child was in household.
After 6 months, Bella started killing and eating her chickens.
May 25, 2010 Current owner rescued.
Nov. 2010 While walking the 2 dogs, I fell and broke my jaw. I seriously considered my safety in walking 2 dogs.
March, 2011 I fell again, but no injury.
I would love to find her a new home with someone who has energy and time to keep her busy.
