Dixie is a 1 year old, 40 lb spayed female, purebred walker hound. She is housetrained and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She is good with children, but she gets excited and jumps up on them. She might be better with older kids than with younger ones. Dixie can be ok with other dogs if properly introduced. She is not good with cats.

Dixie is an energetic hound that needs plenty of exercise and room to run. She likes going on walks and for car rides. She also loves the beach and the river and playing in the water. As she is still a pup, she likes to chew things, and she tends to pull when on leash. She knows several basic commands: no, sit, lay down, down, and is learning "shake". She is in good health with no known problems and takes a pet vitamin daily.
