Private Adoption Dog - Pepper
Meet Pepper, an older dog who hasn't had a great life and who, at 9 years old, delivered her last litter a couple of months ago. Luckily, Pepper was rescued from her irresponsible former owners by a wonderful young lady who got all the puppies fixed and adopted to great homes and had Pepper spayed as well. She and her family have fostered Pepper but she is due to leave the area to go to college and a placement for Pepper is needed. This sweet older dog is deserving of a fantastic home after all she's been through.
We'll let Pepper's rescuer tell you about her:
Pepper is a very low maintenance dog. Very shy with a loveable personality. Meets new people well and loves to ride in the car. Likes other dogs, but is motherly so wants to be domanant with them. Would be best in a household without cats. An ideal family would be one in which she can go to work or stay home a good portion of the day with someone. Very good for long car rides as travel buddy for those with traveling jobs. Absolutely needs space to run. Prefers to be outside in good weather but hates the rain. Pepper was previously a working dog so she is very well trained and eager to please.
Older dogs have much to offer adoptive families. Pepper is house trained, spayed, up to date on her shots, well behaved and ready to find a home where she will be loved and part of the family. If you think you can give her a great home, please call Jana at 498-4564 or email her at jmv24@humboldt.edu.
